Why should we attend?

God uniquely created you for one another to complement each other and to experience a vital, shared intimacy--teamwork at its best!

It's amazing how similar our interests seem to be when we are dating. Each person demands little but receives much. The fact that we are so different in many ways never seems to bother us at all.

Then life changes.  Often, daily struggles of work, family, and finances move our focus away from each other.  We begin to give less and expect more.  The traits that initially attracted us to our spouse can sometimes become a source of conflict.  When our differences become irritation instead of intrigue, we wind up on each other's case instead of in each other's arms.

Understanding the Love of Your Life, designed by Walk Thru the Bible Ministries, is a seminar for couples that offers a unique and refreshing opportunity to rediscover how God made you for each other to be a team, growing closer together.

Among the tools you will be given at this seminar are:

- An insightful survey to help you understand yourself.  You'll learn a significant part of why you behave the way you do.  You'll discover a new way of looking at your strengths and weaknesses.

- A better understanding of your partner, leading to deeper levels of communication.

- Insight on how to relate better to your partner and to improve your appreciation of him or her.

- Practical steps to help you become God's provision for meeting your partner's needs.

While the first to register are often couples with strong relationships hoping to keep them strong, this seminar is ideal for all couples, married, engaged, or seriously dating.

Your seminar instructor:

Pastor Mark Baliles has been serving the Indian Creek Church of the Brethren since 1996. They have four adult children and two sons-in-law.  Mark enjoys movies, sports, and sailing.  He is occasionally seen on local basketball courts where he serves the community as a PIAA official.
